  WELCOME TO HALDON TRAIL RUNNERS

Haldon Trail Runners is a club dedicated to off-road running in South Devon.  We are affiliated to the Association of Running Clubs and also support the Trail Running Association

Based at Haldon Forest Park, we have over 3000 acres of forest to use as our training ground.

We run on forest roads, trails, tracks or just the forest floor and have little need to venture onto busy roads. As such, the club sessions can be both challenging and rewarding and will be best enjoyed by more experienced runners who are already able to run at a steady pace for an hour.

Our main club night is on Wednesday evenings, meeting at 6.15 for a prompt 6.30pm start. We will aim to run for around 1 hour at a steady pace somewhere between 7.5 and 9 minutes per mile, with different pace groups when possible.   We also meet for a longer run on Saturday mornings from 9am..

Unless otherwise stated all runs will start from the car park in the visitor hub at Haldon Forest Park.  All club members are required to park in the main visitor car park and not on the side roads or gateways. This is a stipulation of the Forestry Commission's permission to allow us to use the site.  Discovery Passes are available from the ranger's office. These give many benefits including free year round parking at Haldon and other FC sites.

We are delighted to have been awarded the

Athletics Weekly/Ron Hill Club of the Month Award for January 2013 plus the Annual Development Club award for 2013.
